This week we've seen some parts of the film L'aberge espagnol which is about some students from different European countries that live together in aflat in Barcelona. Recently we've been preparing for a contest about European rights related to traveling, living and studying in Europe and objectives and we have considered this film as an activity related to the contest.

IRISH IN THE BASQUE COUNTRY

Those days the irish people of the exchange have come to the Baque Country. Bryan was my partner and came to Usurbil. He visited lots places and he was very happy of all those things. He want to come again, on the summer... I learned a lot of English on the exchange and was a good experience even it was an exchange of only 10 days. Bryan also go out at night and he have a very good time with the others friends that they werent on the exchange for example with Joseba that they speak about rugby. With, this good experiendçce I think that we will do anotherone the next year. I dont know what to write so I leave here that entry! So, the exchange was a good experience and know we have a good relationsship with the irish people.



 

IRELAND

At easter we have been on an exchange with an Irish school. We went to Ireland 3 weeks ago and we have been there for 6 days. I have been with 2 families because my partner live far from school. The first family was Alaznes partner family The potterton family. But Anna, Alaznes partner, was studing in Germany so we have been with the mother and the older brother, Sabine and Gregor. I stayed with them 2 nights and later I went with Bryan, my partner, to Belturbert where I stayed for 3 nights.

During all the days we did some activities and we went to Dublin two different days we also went to a boring museum of history, we went booling it was great and the Irish were bad because Albisu won and he have never tried before, we did also boring workshops and more things. On the way we practice a lot my English and now I am an expert! We have a good time there with all the Irish people. And next week they are comming to the Basque Country to our houses. So we are waiting them!

EASTERN HOLIDAY

This eastern holiday we've been reading a book in English called Rebecca. Our English teacher gave it us to read during the holidays. It was very boring and we didn't like it at all.
It is a love story and its main character is a young girl who falls in love with an old man.

VIDEOCONFERENCE WITH INDIA

We have been working with a NGO called Emmaus. They have explained us what fairtrade is and how they work.
They work with an Indian NGO called Tara and we did a videoconference with the president who, at the same time, is the daughter of the founder of the NGO. We asked her some questions about Tara and also about India.
She told us many information about the beginning of Tara, how they contacted with Emmaus, the economical situation of India, the social classes in India (low class, "Intouchables"...).
